Tahini Chocolate Fudge

1.) You only need four ingredients for these heavenly squares!

2.) Start by melting your tahini and coconut oil in the microwave for 30 seconds, then stir in the rest of your ingredients until they are well combined.

3.) Line a small pan or container with parchment paper or plastic wrap. (I use a 2×5 inch pan, you can use a similar size.) Pour in your chocolate mixture and tilt the pan so that the mixture is evenly spread. Place the fudge in the fridge for at least 15 minutes.

4.) Cut your fudge into squares of your desired size, I usually cut them into 8-10 small squares. If you don’t plan to eat them right away, be sure to store them in the fridge!

Tahini Chocolate Fudge (Total Time: 25 minutes, Prep Time: 5 minutes, Serves: 4)

While trying to curb my peanut butter addiction, I figured I’d try throwing some tahini into a dessert. I love tahini in my salad dressing and hummus, but I haven’t experimented with it too much in desserts. I have tried a few tahini flavored desserts from other places, but the flavor was always a little overwhelming, so I had to figure out how to tone it down a bit. Obviously, adding cocoa is always a great choice, and it ended up pairing wonderfully with the tahini. While you can make these with just four ingredients, I recommending sprinkling in a little bit of salt and cinnamon to really bring out all the strong flavors. As my last note of advice, I would not plan on sharing these. The serving size I wrote says four, and that’s for people who have self-control when it comes to dessert. (I don’t) Beware that these are extremely addictive chocolate fat bombs!

Ingredients

2 tbsp tahini

2tbsp coconut oil

3 tsp maple syrup

3 tbsp cocoa powder

pinch of salt (optional)

pinch of cinnamon (optional)

Directions

1: Start by melting your coconut oil and tahini in the microwave for 30 seconds. Stir, then add in the rest of your ingredients. Mix well until everything is well combined.

2: Line a small pan or container with parchment paper or plastic wrap. (I use a 2×5 inch pan, you can use anything of a similar size. It doesn’t have to be exact.) Pour in your chocolate mixture and spread it evenly across the pan. Place in the fridge for at least 15-20 minutes.

3: Once your fudge has hardened, cut it into squares of your desired size. If you are not going to eat them all right away, store them in the fridge. Enjoy!
